🐟 Red Florida Gar (Lepisosteus platyrhincus — red morph) — 9–10" specimens now in stock.

If you've kept gars before, you already know why this one is worth a second look. The red morph is a genuine colour variant — not a dye, not a trick of the camera — and at 9–10" these fish are settled, feeding reliably, and ready to go straight into a well-prepared predator setup.

📋 Quick care summary: • Minimum footprint: 6 × 2 ft (grow-out); adult fish need 8 ft+ • Temperature: 20–26 °C | pH: 6.5–7.5 • Feeding: Hikari Massivore, frozen lance fish, strip feeding off tongs — live food unnecessary and not recommended • Tank cover: essential. These jump, and they jump hard. • Difficulty: Intermediate — not a beginner species

These are hand-selected specimens held at our facility until we're confident they're travel-ready. Every fish ships with our Live Arrival Guarantee on next-day specialist courier (Mon–Thu dispatch, 2-hour DOA photo window).

£450 per fish. 13 available.
